About Hermosa Valley School

Hermosa Valley School, a California Distinguished School, provides a comprehensive 4th- 8th-grade program that is focused on both a personalized and blended learning experience for students. Due to the maintenance of small class sizes and the availability of technology, students and teachers build relationships around purposeful and targeted lessons. Teachers at Hermosa Valley School are highly qualified and include a doctoral recipient, a college professor, a former and current professional athlete, a professional artist, and a state-recognized technology teacher. Hermosa Valley teachers employ a wide variety of highly engaging instructional strategies, curricular enrichment, and support services to promote student learning. 

As part of a small school district, we enjoy a high level of communication and collaboration among the district, school administration, students, teachers, parents, and local citizenry. Our community dedicates time and resources to help support the vision of the school and to demonstrate to their children the importance of education and service.  

Integral to the success of the Hermosa Valley School is a nationally recognized Career and Technology Education (CTE) program that has evolved to be a leader in the state for Grades 4-8. This program has introduced thousands of students to learning about the application of technology to the arts and manufacturing, the global economy, and innovative pathways of the future.
