Returning Student Registration for the Fall of 2023 Opens July 26, 2023

Hello Hermosa Families,

Hermosa Schools would like to welcome K-8 returning students to the 2023-2024 school year. Below you will find important information to complete your child’s annual Back-to-School Forms.

K-5 grades must be completed by August 24, 2023
6-8 grades must be completed before middle school registration which is on August 18, 2023

For returning families, you will be utilizing the PowerSchool Parent Portal (hbcsd.powerschool.com/public) to complete the required forms.

New students to the district do not need to complete this process.

The portal will open on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. You will need to have your username and password available for the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not remember your PowerSchool login or password, click here for directions.

Online Directions for PowerSchool:

Step 1: Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Step 2: Click on the ”Forms” tab, which is located on the left navigation panel.

Step 3: Complete Student Information, Annual Agreements, and Emergency Treatment & Contacts.

Note: In order for each form to be completed, you must click submit. Once submitted, you will get a completion message for each tab.

Online Directions for PowerSchool Mobile App:

Step 1: Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal Mobile App.

Step 2: Click on “More,” which is located at the bottom right of the screen.

Step 3: Click on “Forms”

Step 4: Complete Student Information, Annual Agreements, and Emergency Treatment & Contacts.

Note: In order for each form to be completed, you must click submit. Once submitted, you will get a completion message for each tab.

It is important that parents/guardians complete all three forms, as your child is not registered for the new school year until these documents are completed. These forms must be completed, in order for your student to receive their class placement/schedule.

Class Placement/Schedule

TK-5th Grade Students: Parents/Guardians can log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, to receive their student’s class placement.

6th-8th Grade Students: Students are required to attend Middle School Registration on Tuesday, August 18, 2023, where they will pick up their class schedule. Principal Bledsoe will be emailing all new and returning families with more information.
