Returning Student Registration

2022-2023 School Year Returning Student Registration Now Open!

 

HBCSD would like to welcome K-8 returning students to the 2022-2023 school year. Below you will find important information to complete your student’s annual Back to School Paperwork. Parents/Guardians of returning students are required to complete this paperwork before the first day of school, Tuesday, September 6, 2022. For returning families, you will be utilizing the PowerSchool Portal (hbcsd.powerschool.com/public) to complete the required paperwork. New students to the district do not need to complete this process. 

  

The portal will open on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. You will need to have your username and password available for the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not remember your PowerSchool login or password, click here for directions.

Online Directions for PowerSchool: 

Step 1: Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Step 2: Click on the ”Forms” tab, which is located on the left navigation panel. 

Step 3: Complete Annual Agreements, Emergency Treatment & Contacts, Student Demographics, and Chromebook Agreement.

 

Note: In order for each tab to be completed, you must click submit. Once submitted, you will get a completion notification for each tab.

 

Online Directions for PowerSchool Mobile App:

Step 1: Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal Mobile App.

Step 2: Click on “More,” which is located at the bottom right of the screen.

Step 3: Click on “Forms”

Step 4: Complete Annual Agreements, Emergency Treatment & Contacts, Student Demographics, Chromebook Agreement, and Checkout Form.

 

Note: In order for each tab to be completed, you must click submit. Once submitted, you will get a completion notification for each tab.

 

It is important that parents/guardians complete all three tabs, as their student is not registered for the new school year until these documents are completed. This must be completed by Monday, September 5, 2022, in order for your student to receive their class placement/schedule.

 

Class Placement/Schedule

TK-5th Grade Students: Parents/Guardians should log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal on Monday, September 5, 2022, to receive their student’s class placement/schedule.

 

6th-8th Grade Students: Students are required to attend Middle School Registration on Monday, August 29, 2022, where they will get to pick up their class schedule and take their ID picture. Principal Bledsoe will be emailing all new and returning families soon with more information.
