The 3rd/8th Grade Book Exchange will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 9:15-10:13 AM in the Hermosa Valley Bowl. This cherished Hermosa tradition brings 8th graders and 3rd graders together, with 8th grade students presenting a personalized, bound book created especially for their assigned 3rd grader.
This year's exchange includes a bit of a twist. As part of their Wit & Wisdom ELA curriculum, 8th graders will write personalized poems for 3rd graders, which will be compiled into a 3rd grade class book of poetry. This special book celebrates creativity and cross-grade connections. Cookies and lemonade will be provided by HVPTO.
