Mental Health
Our schools support the social-emotional development of students through our school-based counseling program. Our program is designed to provide opportunities for students to participate in individual and small group counseling experiences that provide support and skill-building for coping with family stressors, academic struggles, and personal issues.

Care Solace is an online resource with a live, 24/7 concierge line that assists individuals in finding local mental health-related programs and counseling services. HBCSD’s partnership with Care Solace provides access to services for our students, staff, and families at no cost. Please note that this service is an optional resource available by choice and is not mandatory in any way. Care Solace does not require a user’s name, address, phone number, or date of birth. All of the information that is entered on their platform is completely confidential and stored securely.

HBCSD Families Connected is the district youth wellness page, which contains many resources for families, students, and staff. Families Connected also has a "Helping Youth with Depression/Mental Health Challenges - Resources for Parents and Guardians" that focuses on mental health needs and resources.
