The Hermosa Beach Police Department is excited to announce its Sixth Annual Winter Holiday Greeting Card Contest, which is open to all Hermosa Beach Students.
They are looking for a hand-drawn picture for the front of their 2025 Winter Holiday Greeting Card. This year's theme is "Peace, Safety, and Surf." Artwork should include the words "Hermosa Beach Police Department," "HbPD," or a picture of police officers and a focus on community peace and safety during the holidays, blending beach life with festive touches like surfboards and candy canes, officers helping at the pier, sand snowmen, or your own creative thoughts.
Feel free to use crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, or whatever inspires you! Just remember:
- Each student may submit one original, colored drawing
- All artwork must be created and colored by the student only, without help from othersHBPD plans to use the winning drawing for their 2025 Winter Holiday Greeting Card and print the winning child's name and their school's name on the back of the card.
Entries should be sent to Maria Calvento at the Hermosa Beach Police Department, 540 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254, or they can be dropped off in person. The back of their entry should include the child's first and last name, their school name, their grade, and their parent/guardian's name and contact information. All entries must be received by 6:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
