STAR Education Program (TK-5)
HBCSD has teamed up again with the award-winning STAR Education Program to offer before and after-school child care and enrichment classes for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years.
Before and After School Child Care
STAR Education provides an incredible before and after school program through its Hermosa STAR Galaxy Program to our Hermosa school students right on our school sites. Child Care options are available for students in grades TK-5 at Hermosa View and Hermosa Vista sites as follows:
- Hermosa STAR Morning Care: Offered five days a week from 7:00 AM-School Start. The fee is divided into 10 equal payments of $225 for the 2023-2024 school year and $248 for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Hermosa STAR Galaxy: Offered five days a week after School-6:00 PM. The fee is divided into 10 equal payments of $594 for the 2023-2024 school year and $620 for the 2024-2024 school year.

If you're interested in the 2024-2025 school year, check out this flyer. Registration begins Wednesday, January 24, at 10 AM at www.starinc.org. When you enroll, you will pay a $100 deposit. Installments will not be charged until August 2024. Additionally, you can be added to the wait list if the program is full.
After School Enrichment
STAR Education offers a variety of enrichment classes that are offered once a week through its STAR Nova Enrichment Program for students in grades TK-5 at Hermosa View and Hermosa Vista sites. The STAR Nova Enrichment Program runs four 8-week sessions per school year. Each session has a separate registration. The Nova 1 class schedule will be available in August 2024, with the weekly classes beginning in September 2024.

STAR Education Camps
During the 2023-2024 school year, STAR Education will be offering camps for TK-5 students during Presidents' Week, Spring Break, and Summer. Camp Registration will be available closer to the camp dates listed below.
