Who We Are
The Hermosa Beach City School District (HBCSD) is committed to building and maintaining schools where students can learn and thrive. With the support of our community, funding from Measure S (2016) and Measure HV (2024) allows us to invest in safe, sustainable, and modern facilities that will benefit our students for generations to come.
Our Facilities & Bond Program oversees the planning, design, bid process, and construction project management for all new construction, modernization, and capital improvement projects funded by these bond measures. We serve as the liaison for both internal and external partners, ensuring transparency, accountability, and community engagement throughout every stage of the process.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to responsible bond fund management and to keeping the community informed about how these resources are used. Regular updates are shared through Project Fact Sheets, Waves of Progress, and Presentations/Communications webpages.
Investing in Learning Environments
Every classroom, hallway, playground, and school facility is designed to support a positive and productive educational experience. With funding from Measure S and Measure HV, we will continue to enhance our elementary and middle schools, ensuring they meet the highest safety, functionality, and sustainability standards. Our dedicated team works year-round to maintain, repair, and improve school buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, whether it’s upgrading safety systems, maintaining athletic fields, or keeping classrooms comfortable for learning.
We recognize that the quality of the learning environment directly impacts student success, and we take pride in creating spaces that inspire learning and growth.
