Welcome to HVS Food Services. Our district is committed to supporting student wellness by providing healthy, balanced meals every school day.

California’s Universal Meals Program

Through California’s Universal Meals Program (AB 130), all HBCSD students are eligible to receive one free breakfast and/or lunch each school day during the 2025-2026 school year, regardless of household income.

Launched statewide in the 2022-2023 school year, the program builds upon the federal National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP). HBCSD participates in this initiative to help make sure every student has access to meals during the school day.

While submitting a Fee and Reduced Price Meals Application is not required to receive meals, we strongly encourage all families to apply online. Completed applications provide additional funding for our Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP).

Learn more by visiting our California Universal Meals Program page.

Meal Service for 2025-2026
