Equity & Inclusion Dashboard 2024-2025

Equity & Inclusion Dashboard 2024-2025

Overview of Dashboard

Hermosa School created an Equity & Inclusion Dashboard in 2021-2022 to provide public access related to student achievement and wellness data in an effort to ensure all students needs were being met. The district continues to maintain the Equity and Inclusion Dashboard to provide transparent and accessible data related to the performance of student subgroups such as ethnicity, English Language Learners, students with free/reduced lunch, and students with special needs.

Three areas of focus are highlighted in our dashboard: achievement for all, diversity and inclusion, and social-emotional wellness data. The Equity & Inclusion Dashboard is intended to assist in understanding where needs may exist.

The data collected for Hermosa Schools comes from various sources: student surveys, diagnostic assessments, formative assessments, summative assessments, and district-administered benchmarks.

2025 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)

Summative Assessment: CAASPP is used to evaluate student learning, skill acquisition, and academic achievement at the conclusion of a defined instructional period (i.e., End of the year). CAASPP was not administered in 2020 & 2021 due to COVID-19 due to school closures.

The CAASPP will be administered to 3rd-8th grade students from May 5-25, 2025. A presentation will be made to Hermosa Schools' Board of Education once scores are released to Local Education Agencies by the California Department of Education. After the presentation is made, data will be published on the HBCSD Dashboard.
