Escalante Earns Superintendent Award

HBCSD Superintendent Patricia Escalante was named Association of California School Administrators Region 14 Superintendent of the Year and the South Bay ACSA Region 14 Superintendent of the Year for 2019.

 

Each year, the Association of California School Administrators recognizes a select group of individuals for their significant contributions to education. Region 14, which includes Hermosa Beach City School District, also includes more than two dozen other school districts in Southern California from Santa Monica-Malibu Unified to Long Beach Unified and beyond. “It is an honor and a privilege to be acknowledged by my colleagues who inspire me in the work that we do,” said Escalante.

 

Prior to becoming HBCSD’s superintendent, Ms. Escalante started her administration career in the Beverly Hills Unified School District and then an administrator in the Hermosa Beach City School District, where she has served as Superintendent for 7 years.
