Beach Cities Tri-District Survey

Beach Cities Tri-District - MBUSD, HBCSD, & RBUSD

On September 25, 2024 and on January 29, 2025, all 3rd through 8th-grade students in the Hermosa Beach City School District will participate in the Beach Cities Tri-District Social-Emotional Learning and Student Inclusion (SEL/DI) Survey. The survey was designed to analyze longitudinal data from students in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach. Its goal is to gather insights and view trends in the data that will help develop programs and support our youth. This survey will focus on the following areas:

  • Positive Feelings
  • Student Inclusion
  • Sense of Belonging

The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and will be administered during school hours. The data collected will contribute to our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) survey and District Goals.

Survey Participation

Participation in the survey is encouraged, as it will provide valuable insights into students' experiences within our district and help us identify ways to better support their needs. Students have the option to skip any questions they are uncomfortable answering. All survey responses will remain confidential.

Opt-Out Process

Parents or guardians who prefer that their child not participate in the survey must complete the Beach Cities Tri-District Student Survey Opt-Out Form by 3:30pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Students who opted out will not have access to the survey. If you are interested, you can review the Beach Cities Tri-District Student Survey Questions.
